OH SHYSTA!…
Scotty dog should let sweat shop T-SHIRT/SWEAT BAND DRUMS play a podcast episode! That would be a true SPLIT!
…great episode! better than great without people!
That sounded better when i thought it in my head & not posted in digital ink!. I just wondered how many songs jake gets to pick on a regular basis, and I was putting in a word that he would get more picks or playlist control on an episode; which probably won’t happen…But it would be interesting to compare the difference. Sometimes some of that info gets lost in listening translation.
the flowered up instrumentals sound like the samples…
The twang, loosely dancing, single bothers me…but I’m sure that that was their hit single; and the rest of their songs are what I like!
The cranberries was the first concert I was allowed to go too…with my 10 year older sis & the princess of sedelia…anyhow, go pulp & seude…
In real life, I was waiting anxiously on Monday and Tuesday for the newest episode 48 to arrive in my Podcasts, but it did not show up. In a dream I had on Tuesday night, I asked you if you had posted the new episode, and you shook your head, “No”, and then you indicated that it had been recorded, but not posted. Did this happen in real life, too?
R.
Well, you’re stalking is paying off Ryan. That’s exactly the case. Recorded on Monday but not posted until Wednesday. You’re superpower to know exactly the state of the podcast at any given moment, while impressive, is limited in its application, I think.
Glad to know you’re listening.
I think this is my NEW favorite episode. Musically, it is really tight and flows well. Need to get it onto the work-pod shuffle. . .
Really? That’s great – glad the show appears to be getting better as it ages. We’ve recorded Episode 49 and I actually like that playlist better than this one. Stay tuned…
Yes, I have listened to it several times now. The thing I really liked about this particular episode was the progression of music and how it all seemed to fit together. I didn’t like every song – but it all worked together.
I have never seen the Ravonettes live, but I have a CD or two and I always thought that they were intentionally trying to sound disconnected/disaffected. Boredom hadn’t crossed my mind.
another random thought – regarding Husker Du – don’t you think “books about UFO’s” is one of the songs that is most UNLIKE Husker Du? I love the song, but it is not the sound that comes to mind when I think of the band in general.
