i do like this show…you guys know what your talking about! NICE WEBSITE[splitdenver.com]! bEST wishes for your new gig…

I wasn’t going to reply this time, but living in Denver for 25 years at some moments I wish I was a transplant! Jake your Denver theory is supported, there are different levels of talent!!! As an artist and being a novice of something? Jake Ryan your solid!

As an artist I know about imitation, and while I’m definately not a picaso. Natural talent is nice. Not everyone has that! Usually you copy or imitate to learn a CRAFT in study. It shouldn’t debilitate anyone from being original or unique, Then you get your own style and progress…And that should be said, at some point we are also all trying to make a decent living and coexist! Everyone hates a phony and can sense it!

I like your show without guests; while it is nice to see great interviews from Andy Chase, the postmarks, or somebody unexpected like Heather. You two guys should fly it solo more often!

I like Rip off or homage maybe is should be a regular! Go NALA!

I liked the rip-off or homage idea too! I’m thinking maybe it could be a regular feature… A featured rip-off or homage each week? Like click and clack the “tappit” brothers tom and ray magliozzi have their puzzler. . .

Nah – we’d eventually run out and then we’d just be faking it or reaching too far. We’ll do a show with this theme again. My friend Miguel out in NY who does a brit-pop night there has already been scheduled as our guest on that show. Episode 60.

my style would be more frick & frack the 1940’s comedic iceskating team or milton berle’s ‘can of laughs’ with those cool sound effects! whoa, whoa, whoa…which is something different altogether.

I’m interested in researching Tom Schneider though never heard of him? See how these two have been influenced.

The Ambulance LTD song is untitled? It’s not “ocean?”
And speaking of homage or rip off (covers even?) what
    about VU/Lou Reed’s “The Ocean?”
I immediately heard that in my head. . . and it would predate either Ambulance
    Ltd or Acetone.

Funny that this episode comes up – I have lately been thinking
about favorite and least favorite cover songs. For a bad one -
club nouveau coving bill wither’s lean on me. A good one, johnny cash
covering nine inch nails hurt. . .

Going with cover – credit is given on the album with bonus tracks for the US issue “the ocean”
AND that web thingy with the google and so forth says that John Cale was working with them more recently.

      • Comment from nala

John Cale working with them – them being Ambulance LTD.

        • Comment from Tyler "Danger" Jacobson

Go check out their myspace. The guy posted a link to a bunch of WAV files of songs he’s done. They’re website is gone so Ambulance LTD may be no more.

Did Mile High Soul Club cancel last night? I’ll catch you next week, then.

Yeah – The Snow Convention created a scheduling conflict with MHSC. So, you can catch me Wed and Thurs next week.
