Well, there's a lot of reasons to love Kurt. His band being great is another one you should consider.

So. Um. Yeah. I think I may love Kurt Ottoway a little. I totally agree with the Goth comment. They're very narrow-minded, speaking as a goth who has stayed past her prime. I still like the music and I love to dance, but it hasn't progressed in the clubs. Sure, elsewhere, but not there. If I went out Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, dollars to doughnuts, I will hear the very same line-up. Possibly in the same order, by the same DJs. They don't even play the old stuff. Now, you get to hear the stuff they want you to believe is goth: Goldfrapp, Ladytron, Muse, and Placebo. Yes, they all have that dark, melancholic feel, but that's not what I want to hear on Sundays. Getting a DJ to play Coil or Tear Garden is like pulling teeth. Don't even get me started on Christian Death. I want a club with three separate rooms: Retro Goth; Brand New Goth; and Industrial/EBM.

In my personal opinion, the scene needs new blood, on the dancefloor and behind the decks. Seriously, if I see one more smelly, I-got-this-at-Hot-Topic-on-clearance, wanna-be Twilight glitter vamp who thinks AFI and Evanesence is the new Goth I will cut a bitch. /rant.

my uncrazy side is compelling me to donate my unpublished book of graphic design to the opening nite of split. To a whole bunch of strangers, and to believe it or not I used to worry about being scrutinized. It is a collective hope for something unique and different...

lastly, I just made a page that fans can't comment on! Because it would drive me crazy. It would make sense to have guests comment since it is somthing that they've invested in and it would take it to another level.

Well, that explains one thing I was wondering about (lost breaks).
Liked the show, in part, because it sounded different
from the usual show. Definitely a few bands in there that
I am going to look into further.
